Refurbishing the Tardis by Alda-Rana
This drawing’s idea comes from raineszramski , who noticed the new bookshelves in the Tardis console room in the series 8 trailers and imagined the Doctor going to Ikea.
(Maybe it would help if he used another screwdriver - Ikea furniture is mostly made of wood after all)

The trollkors or troll cross is a bent piece of iron worn as an amulet to ward off malevolent magic and spirits in Swedish folklore. *CORRECTION* THIS MOST LIKELY ISN’T TRUE

False, that’s a modern invention. You can read more here:http://grumpylokeanelder.tumblr.com/post/60931050663/addendum-on-the-trollkors

OMG, thank you for the link/info! Everyone listen to my hawt swedish friend here ;) I suppose this is similar to people claiming the Awen symbol is an ancient druid thing when it was really invented in the 19th century. You’re like, oh damn, that sucks, but at least it still looks cool and I might get it tattooed on my eyelids or something.

You’re welcome! I thought I’d share since I knew I had the link somewhere, otherwise I just go “meh, the internet” XD I really like the trollkors though, it’s very pretty c:And njeheheh, thanks for the compliment, gorgeous! ;)

Aha! Thank you for pointing this out! I have now looked as hard as I can, and this narrative is believable because I can’t seem to find a shred of evidence of the trollcross/trollkors from before 2003. HOWEVER, neither have I been able to find any evidence of this woman and her so-called battle against the plagiarism. If she exists, she is not fighting hard because one cannot find her words even if they look for hours! After reading other discussions etc. no one has found any evidence that this symbol existed before 2003, however no one has found any evidence of this original smith either! Karid Slingerlands also referred to as Karid Erlands in the discussions, is nowhere to be found. Could she be as much of a myth as the pseudo-folkloric background? Can anyone provide a website or any works of hers?
This correction of yours seems more likely, there is no archaeological evidence of the trollkors, nor any folkloric reference to it. Iz probably bogus. But I don’t want to assume this lady created it until I see some proof.
